Zenifying
Wow. This month has been all about getting back on track after weeks of laziness, not getting things done, feeling unmotivated and unhealthy. Where does this indolence come from, why? I’ve watched two seasons worth of Dr. House (excellent series by the way) in one month, surfed on the web much more than I should, eaten snacks instead of meals and drank Coke and coffee to keep awake. That’s no good! It’s bad!
So I surfed some more and found this great site with tons of tips for life improvement, why didn’t I come across it before? It’s called Zen habits, you should check it out.
Here are my five favourite articles:
- Rise early and enjoy quietude, sunrise, time for breakfast
- Multitasking is evil: work as simply as possible
- Be in the moment, be as a child
- Living the golden rule: treat others as you would like to be treated
- How to say no and stay friends: say yes to something else
Overlooking the fact that this guy lives on a tropical island (I mean, how depressed can he be?) and the fact that his proposed remedy to the problem of never getting around to hanging your clothes up or putting them in hamper before going to bed is to, ahem, hang your clothes up or put them in the hamper immediately, I have to say, je suis preneuse!
