How I make my life nice | Miten elämä piristetään
Since Aron came into my life and especially since moving to the country, I never seem to have time to enjoy my hobbies anymore. Hobbies like doodling on my notebook or knitting. So I’ve had to come up with little things that help me cope with the endless commuting and life on a squirrel wheel in order to maintain my sanity.
Here’s one thing I often do: on our way to work and daycare, especially when we’re stuck in the traffic jam, I sometimes hand my journal over to my son along with a crayon and off he goes. He loves drawing. He doesn’t speak much yet, but in the car he tells me who he’s going to draw next. This not only occupies Aron but also, I love finding his unexpected scribblings on the notebook pages as I jot down boring work stuff during the day. Obviously, my journal looks like it got hit by a radioactive bomb, but I don’t mind because it’s so cool to be reminded of the little sticky fingers in the middle of a working day.
