I haven’t updated this blog for quite some time now. That’s maybe due to the fact that I simply haven’t had anything to say.
My domain account will expire at the end of this month and I am not yet sure whether to keep it or to let it expire. If I will let it go, then let me just say that this has been a wonderful journey and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it!
I will continue reading (and commenting, le cas echéant) my favourite blogs and perhaps start one of my own again in the future.
So long!

Treasures from the basement, found on my latest trip to the basement.
Bags, bags, bags, stashed away in a box from an Asian minimarket. Want to hear the best part? I’d completely forgotten about this collection, dating back to my mid-twenties. It’s like finding a 50 euro note, albeit a very moldy and smelly one, in your jeans pocket. I love these bags! And, can you imagine, I have actually used each and every one of these at some point!

Things I have done today:
- Saw a bullfinch and a bunch of other birds bathing in a pool of water on our yard. It’s been years since I last saw one.
- Baked a cake using no recipe whatsoever. It became an Easter cake, with raisins and lemon zest.
- Painted and glued with my son. Ever since he had his ears tubed he draws the ears on people. Alas, not so much idea where the mouth should go. Fascinating.
- Vacuumed something like ten kilos of dust balls. Where does all that dust even come from?
- Walked in the forest. Picked a couple of anemone nemorosas for drying and pressing with my son. After checking its name in Wikipedia (duh!) I now realise it’s poisonous. ??? Never occurred to me.

I woke up at 05:15 today. Yes. Family is still asleep. The only sound I hear is the laptop’s quiet humming. I am having a cappucino drink from a cup that says fantastische Moeder which my husband got me from Antwerp.
The university has sent me a course certificate that says “pass”. I don’t smell much because I have a terrible cold and my nose is all clogged up and I have an ear infection, but if I did smell something, then the air in the living room would smell of freshly ironed garments. Yes. This is where we do our ironing. And blogging.
Snow has melted. It is foggy.
When is the rest of the world going to wake up?

They have multiplied!
This weekend, apart from using the glue stick like crazy, I’ve been baking. Oh, and did I mention suffering from pink overdose?
If only I had a good camera, you’d be suffering too.

Easter egg paper ringlets. I don’t know what to do with these yet, except that I just have to create at least 70 more! I want to fill the living room with these. Or perhaps cover the front door glass panel, or glue them together to form a curtain. Any other ideas?

Pattern: Silly Apple Cozy
I knit this using Lana Grossa Mega Stoppino (this colourway is awesome) with 5mm bamboo needles. The knit finish was too cubic in shape for my taste so I felted the apple cozy quite roughly using boiling and freezing cold water and a wooden spoon for battering.
Nice!

If all the snowflakes were candy bars and milkshakes oh what a snow that would be!
I’m sure blogs all over Europe are full of these kinds of photos today but since we didn’t get that much of snow this year I hope you don’t mind.
